  • Posted June 14, 2011. Yea the recommended minimum is 2 hours. But I've had solvent coming out of the grip hole after 2 hours. I have a really aggressive swing and I've had grips twist on me after 2 hours. Just do it the day before and let it fully dry so you don't have to redo it. Quote.

  • You can regrip an iron set in less than an hour (old tape removal being most of the labor). I've had mixed success with the air compressor method and no longer go that route. I can't see how a retailer could charge less than $2.00 per club for regripping unless the grip price is a lot higher than advertised by competitors.
